stop reading emails!

how much time each day do you spend reading emails?

yeah, I know, I do to, way too much!

so here’s an excellent project as we’re at the start of the new year:

Set up two folders in your inbox, one called “news-useful” and the other called “news-crap”, or something like that…

then as you get emails in, give them a quick read and decide which folder to put the email in based on whether you found it useful or not.

once every week or so simply check the “crap” folder and unsubscribe from any that don’t also have at least one entry/email in the “useful” folder.

Note: there should always be details of how to unsubscribe, usually a link to click on, at the bottom of any email “newsletters” you receive.

this should help you to cut back on the time you spend reading emails and free up more time to actually get something productive done.

Oh, and don’t then go and use all that time hanging out in forum’s reading stuff, that’s another dangerous “time sucking” bloackhole. I only visit 2 or 3 forums and usually only when I’m looking for something in particular.

Once you’ve freed up some extra time, have a look through all the reports, tools and stuff that you’ve already bought and pick one to use and get on with it…

I’m taking a wild stab in the dark here, but I’d be surprised if you haven’t got a bunch of stuff that you’ve paid for over the last few months and not actually done anything with yet…

am I right?

yeah, I know, me too.

Well now it’s time to pick one and do something with it!!!

don’t be scared of getting stuck, you can always email me for help, it’s what I’m here for after all…

oh, and if you want to read any of my old emails and can’t find them, they’re all posted on my blogs, either on or for the blogging stuff." method="post" onsubmit="return sbmgValidateFormPostPg1('name','from')">
